After that Kalanemi born as Kamsudu. He was very strong and
defeated many kings. Once he fought with king of Magadha, Jarasandhudu. The war was
going on at the coast of Yamuna. There came
the royal elephant of Jarasandhudu by pulling away its tied chains and hitting
all whoever comes in the way.
Everybody ran away by watching the elephant. But
Kamsudu stayed where he was and fought with the elephant. He caught hold the
trunk of the elephant lifted it and thrown it on the army of Jarasandhudu. By
this many soldiers in the army died. Jarasandhudu became astonished with this
and thought that fight with Kamsudu will not be good to him. He made friendship
with Kamsudu and performed the marriage of his two daughters Asthi and Prasthi
with him.
Then Kamsudu went to mountain Rushyamooka, there he fought with a
king named Kesi and defeated him. At that time he pulled out the
mountain easily. There he met Parasuramudu. Kamsudu saluted him with reverence.
But Parasuramudu hates kings and he killed many kings. So, he asked Kamsudu to
string the bow of Lord Vishnu.
Kamsudu did
that. Parasuramudu became surprised with that and gifted that bow to Kamsudu
and told that he can defeat all his enemies with that bow. Kamsudu became very
happy with this. But Parasuramudu told that “remember this is a great bow,
whoever breaks this will kill the owner of this bow”. Though Kamsudu felt bad
about it but as he could not do anything at that time he took leave from
Parasuramudu and went off.
