When Dhuryodhana was ruling Hastinapura he had Vindhudu,
Anuvindhudu named feudatory princes. They were ruling Avantipura(Ujjaiyni) the
subordinate kingdom
of Hastinapura. They had
one sister with name Mitravinda. She was very beautiful and highly intelligent.
She was daughter of Krishna’s paternal aunt.
When she reached marital age her swayamvaram (choosing a
husband for herself by a princess or a Kshatriya bride) was announced.
Mitravinda loved Krishna and she decided to marry only Sri Krishna but her
brothers hated Krishna and did not want that
their sister marry him. Even though Krishna
came for the swayamvaram and he took her away from the assembly of swayamvaram
in front of all other kings.
As other kings cannot fight with Krishna
they stud watching. Mitravinda was the fifth wife of Krishna. The sons of Mitravinda were Vrukudu, Harshudu, Aniludu, Grudhrudu, Vardhanudu, Annadhudu, Mahashudu, Vahni and Khshudhi.
Then the king of Kosala, Nagnajittu also announced
swayamvaram of his daughter, Satya also called Naagnajiti. Nagnajittu announced
that who ever fights with seven bulls and controls them to that person only he
will give his daughter. Naagnajiti loved Krishna
since her childhood and prayed him that he should marry her.
She felt very
happy when she heard that Lord Krishna came to attend the test kept by her
father.
